Ministry Ordination Programs
Ministerial Ordination Program – 30 credit hours
The Ministerial Ordination Program at Shepard College of Ministry and Creative Arts is a one-year program that provides foundational courses in biblical studies and promotes a basic understanding of the arts in ministry. Students interested in ordination must also complete the following requirements:
- Complete a personal interview.
- Submit a personal statement of calling and goals to the Board of Ministers.
- Achieve a passing score on the comprehensive examination.
Upon successful completion of the requirements listed above, ministry papers will be awarded by the Inter-Cultural Inter-Faith Ministerial Alliance.
Courses in the Ministerial Ordination Program are designed to:
- Equip students with basic skills in personal ministry and practical knowledge of the Bible with emphasis on practical application in arts related ministry.
- Fulfill the requirements for service in church and community related Christian arts programs.
