Ministry Ordination Programs

Ministerial Ordination Program – 30 credit hours


The Ministerial Ordination Program at Shepard College of Ministry and Creative Arts is a one-year program that provides foundational courses in biblical studies and promotes a basic understanding of the arts in ministry. Students interested in ordination must also complete the following requirements:

 

  1. Complete a personal interview.
  2. Submit a personal statement of calling and goals to the Board of Ministers.
  3. Achieve a passing score on the comprehensive examination.


Upon successful completion of the requirements listed above, ministry papers will be awarded by the Inter-Cultural Inter-Faith Ministerial Alliance.


Courses in the Ministerial Ordination Program are designed to:

  1. Equip students with basic skills in personal ministry and practical knowledge of the Bible with emphasis on practical application in arts related ministry.
  2. Fulfill the requirements for service in church and community related Christian arts programs.
